what's going on everybody this island Hopper coming to you from Phuket Thailand we're going to show you around the best places to stay while visiting here as always there will be time stamps below so you can bounce around from location to location first up we're headed to the most popular place on all of the island this is

Patong Beach this is where you're going to get those party Vibes I say it's popular because they also got the most trendy hotels and restaurants bars shops they also have Bangla road which is where all the partying goes down the beach here is very nice as well you can have jet ski rentals you're going to have parasailing banana boat rides and they also have some great shopping here in terms of hotel prices they're really going to vary down here I've seen them for as cheap as fifty dollars a night and if you actually want to get a hostel you'll get it for even cheaper than that they are going to have some hostels around Patong Beach but most of the cheap accommodations are up towards the mountain unless it's a luxury resort up on the mountain the prices are going to be a little bit more portable the closer you get to the beach it's going to be more expensive I've stayed at a few hotels and I found this Hilton DoubleTree to be one of my favorites they also have a poolside bar and the location to Bangla road is close enough without being too close also the beach here is very close all right we're at the marina Phuket hotel right here you can see they've got an infinity pool it's around 70 a night and you can see in the background here is Patong beach now a hotel like this I like the price I like the rooftop bar but I don't like the location because you can't easily walk down to the beach it's about a 15 to 20 minute walk but the problem is you're gonna be Crossing some busy roads and I don't ever like doing that here in Phuket because drivers are impaired sometimes foreigners especially can be impaired and here is a good look at Bangla road you can see it is extremely crowded it's also very loud I found it to be so loud that sometimes I didn't even enjoy it now we're going to change the pace a bit and go to the other side of the island this is actually

Phuket town the oldest village City area this was the original Port actually okay so you're gonna have history here and now we're at Phuket town so if you're looking for another area to stay that's closer to pee pee Islands this is where you'll want to be it's also the biggest city on Phuket you're going to have old colonial buildings Chinese had also established themselves here but Phuket Town more mild although at night they do have some pubs and restaurants and bars that open up and uh you know you could still have a good time over here one of the reasons people like to stay here is because it's on the way to PP island or any of the islands in the Andaman sea here so people like to stay close there because it's next to the ferry ports I found the best part of this town is searching for Collectibles I bought some coins here but because it's an Old Town they're gonna have Collectibles and antique shops pretty much every other block here and also they have some nice food restaurants if you wanted to do that don't expect too much partying here though and don't expect too much because the best beaches on the island are not going to be here unless you're considering going on a ferry about an hour to two hours to Phi Phi Islands this is not where you're going to get those beautiful beaches but the islands again that's where you want to find that as far as the hotel prices go you are going to find a little bit cheaper on this side of the island than you would in say patang Kata or Quran so that's a benefit of being over here as well as far as getting back over to where the good beaches are it's going to take you around an hour to get across the island because they have road closures plus busy traffic as we continue to show you around Phuket I want to let you know that we did make several videos in this series there is there is things to do in Phuket as well as a full travel guide where we did some island hopping so do check the description below for that and the comment now we're headed back to the other side of the island this time we're going south of Patong Beach to

Kata Beach all right we're down here in the city center of Kata it's uh really bustling in the afternoon but not quite as hectic as Patong now this is going to be more of a relaxing destination for you to stay they also have some better resorts in this area in my opinion I prefer to learn surfing here as well opposed to Patong Beach so if you can get a beach Bungalow somewhere around on the water and we stayed here at Sawadee Village this had two different Bungalows side by side and they were about forty dollars per night plus tax place like this is Inland a bit and it does have several pools it's not as close to the ocean but let's talk about that ocean the golden sand here is perfect for swimming sunbathing relaxing I like to just get in that clear calm water and chill out this is a place for people who are looking to come to Phuket.
